At what age did you first start to think about taking care of your skin more seriously? For most, it was sparked by a specific skin condition or concern like the first time you noticed fine lines around your eyes or maybe you experienced acne for the first time as an adult. Whatever the worry, Obagi has you covered with a variety of skin care systems and targeted products developed to meet your unique skin care needs.
While there are two products we strongly recommend using every single day—a cleanser and a sunscreen with SFP 30 of higher*—using a complete skin care system, such as our Obagi Nu-Derm® System†, the number one physician dispensed skin care system, will help to optimize your results and the overall health of your skin. See below for Important Safety Information about Nu-Derm. Click here to view our complete line of skin care systems designed for a variety of skin types and skin care needs, and then talk to your skin care physician.
Once your skin care physician recommends an Obagi skin care system that is right for you, you may wonder “why should I use all of the products in the system?” We love to use this chocolate chip cookie recipe metaphor to help you better understand. When baking chocolate chip cookies, each ingredient in your recipe must be included and it must be precise or your cookies won’t turn out as good as you expected—too much, too little or the wrong ingredient may render your cookies sub-par or even worse—completely inedible. Baking requires accurate measurements with the right ingredients or it won’t work. Our Obagi Systems perform the same way. They are a carefully engineered “recipe” of ingredients delivered through a sequence of products to give your skin optimal results.
As always, the best thing you can do to achieve healthy skin is to meet with your skin care physician to determine which products are best for your specific individual skin care needs.

*Using a broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 or higher together with a comprehensive sun protection program including wearing sun protective clothing, hats, sunglasses, and avoiding the sun between the hours of 10am - 2pm may help reduce the risk of premature skin aging.
†Not available in select states including MA, MT, NH, NY, and TX, due to state regulations regarding the ability of physicians to dispense prescription drug products in their offices. As an effective, cosmetic skin-brightening option, learn about the Nu-Derm Fx System.
