Your skin is the largest organ in your body, and like any other organ, it needs proper nutrition and care in order to stay healthy. But when you’re traveling, it can sometimes be difficult to maintain a skin care regimen that keeps your skin looking its best.

Here are tips that every Road Warrior should have in her back pocket to help maintain that “I just got a facial” feeling – even while on the go:

  1. Don’t step out the door without first applying a good sunscreen.

    Too much sun can cause damage to the skin, increase premature visible signs of aging, and even have more serious effects like Actinic Keratoses, which are skin growths that can become malignant if not treated, or melanoma, a type of skin cancer.1

  2. Drink lots of water.

    It doesn’t take a lot of effort to drink enough water throughout the day, and staying hydrated can help keep your skin looking its best. Dermatologists agree that your skin will look more dry and wrinkled when it is dehydrated 2.

    Why not try carrying a bottle of water with you in your purse when you travel? It’s an easy reminder to keep yourself hydrated, and you’ll be sure to have some water handy no matter where your day takes you!
