Pumpkin Spiced Latte

With the chilly season closing in, you may be switching out your iced teas for pumpkin spice lattes, and hey, who are we to judge!

While you certainly deserve to indulge once in a while, too many of these popular drinks may leave your skin looking a little dull.

One thing that iced teas, soda pops, and creamy steamy drinks have in common is that they are all filled with sugar. Sugar can change the collagen and elastin fibers in the skin,1 leaving you susceptible to skin that ages faster - no thanks! The downside of hot Fall beverages, like the beloved pumpkin spice latte, is that they contain sugar and whipped cream, which isn't good news for your skin or your waistline.

Fortunately for you, we have put together three popular DIY drinks, cold and hot included, that are completely "clean" yet taste just as good as the original!

Paleo Pumpkin Spice Latte

Pumpkin spice lattes just taste like Fall, and the cooler months wouldn't be the same without them.

This recipe* tastes so decadent that you won't even miss the naughty ingredients! Instead of milk, this recipe uses thick and creamy coconut milk, which is not only delicious, it's filled with healthy fats to hydrate your skin cells from the inside out, soothe skin, and leave it glowing. Stevia is used instead of refined sugar, and because it’s perfectly sweet, you won’t even miss the sugar! Pumpkin purée, the signature ingredient in this beauty, is jam-packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants to leave your skin beautiful and youthful-looking!

Iced Green Tea with Coconut Water

If you've never had a sweetened iced tea from a coffee shop chain, then we fear you may have been living on a deserted island for the last few years, or maybe you're just healthier than the rest of us!

While they sound healthy, these iced teas are filled with sugary lemonade and refined syrup that counteracts the benefits of the iced tea.

Green tea contains a high concentration of antioxidants. These antioxidants help defend against free radicals that contribute to the look of aging skin.

This gem of a recipe* uses a strong batch of green tea to ensure you really get the most out of its powerful antioxidants, and coconut water to provide you with wonderful electrolytes. Lemon adds a refreshing burst of vitamin C, and, if you like your iced tea sweet, we recommend adding a dash (or more!) of stevia.

Dreamy Almond Hot Chocolate

If you're not a tea or coffee fan, then chances are we'll find you curled up with a hot mug of cocoa, especially on chilly evenings.

Hot chocolate deserves to be rich and creamy though, and this recipe doesn't skimp!* Creamy almond milk provides healthy omega 3s, and pure cocoa provides skin lovin' antioxidants, and it will lift your spirits too! Our favorite sweetener, stevia, adds guilt-free sweetness, while a dab of coconut whipped cream adds the perfect finishing touch!

Not only are these drinks a delightful treat to enjoy any time of the day, but they won’t leave you feeling sluggish and bloated. Enjoy without the guilt!
