Job Summary This position will require interaction between all Internal Business Partners to help maintain and support the current Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP System (data integrity and performance efficiency), and all existing and potential new applications that integrate with NAV. This position requires for the selected candidate to have the ability to translate business needs into system integration. This person will be the liaison for all EDI interdepartmental interactions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Master Data Administrator: Individual will be responsible for working with Internal Business Partners on capturing any current system improvements and needs that will help improve business operation efficiencies, and implementing improvements through business solutions projects.
Will perform SharePoint feasibility studies to ensure systems adhere to standards and meet user requirements.
Work with Director and Sr. Systems Engineer to setup and maintain role based security for end-users for NAV and other application that integrate with NAV.
Act as the liaison between the internal/external SQL DBA and Internal Business Partners to technically manage business requirements.
Document all system configurations related to NAV/SharePoint and any critical applications integrated with NAV.
Translate business process needs and improvement into system improvement projects. Coordinates the development of SharePoint systems and/or Navision applications projects, the modification of existing systems or applications, or changes in current methods or techniques.
Will monitor the EDI Manifesto for departmental corrections and make assure corrective actions taken.
Provide direction and technical guidance to SharePoint project team members.
Acts as the liaison between the business integration team, management, and vendors during integrations of business solution.
Work with Internal Business Partners to define any business reports needed to help improve business operation efficiencies.
Responsible for ensuring the data input of Inventory Items and Bill of Materials (BOMs) are entered accurately and maintained in the Enterprise System (NAV), such that data integrity company's standards.
Work with Product Development & Supply Chain to create new inventory items by completing and routing the necessary form(s) upon form request submission. Upon approval of the setup form(s), inventory items are to be created and setup in NAV, documenting the item setup in system following the company procedures that have been already establish.
Work with Business Partners (Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to maintain any necessary changes for existing inventory items in NAV by completing and routing the necessary form(s). Upon approval of the item change form(s), changes are to be made in NAV, documenting the item changes in system following the company procedures that have been already establish.
Work with Product Development to create and maintain all Bill of Materials (BOMs) for New Products per the specification(s) provided by Product Development. BOM Maintenance Forms will be submitted by Product Development already with the necessary approvals. The BOM is to be entered into NAV per what is specified in the BOM Maintenance Form. BOM setup is to be documented following the company's procedures that have already been defined and established. Upon final setup, a screen shot and final report (capturing the final BOM) is to be routed for approval.
Work with Supply Chain to maintain all required changes to Bill of Materials (BOMs) for all existing Products per the specifications provided by the Supply Chain Group. BOM Maintenance Forms will be submitted by the Supply Chain Group already with the necessary approval. BOM is to be entered into NAV per what is specified in the BOM Maintenance form. BOM changes are to be made and documented following the company's procedures that have already been defined and established. Upon final setup, a screen shot and final report (capturing the final BOM) is to be routed for approval.
Maintain all Item Maintenance and BOM Maintenance Logs, ensuring that are all up to date and ready for PBC 404 audits (internal and external).
Ensure all Item Maintenance and BOM Maintenance documentation is scanned in and available for reference on the server for reference.
Be the key contact for generating and gathering all reports and supporting documentation for the PBC 404Audits.
Competencies
- SharePoint Development / Management SAN - Disaster Recovery Experience
Education and/or Experience SQL 2005 DBA - Required
