The Obagi Nu-Derm System is more effective than other skin care
products found at the cosmetic counter, spa, beauty supply
store or even in the Physician's office.
Recently, more than 300 patients participated in a 6 month clinical study
that compared the effectiveness of the Obagi Nu-Derm System to
other common skin care products found over-the-counter and in
Physicians' offices.

Mean changes from baseline at week 24 (N=301). Group 1 used
tretinoin/hydroquinone-based system (Obagi Nu-Derm); group 2, 0.1% tretinoin
plus nonprescription cleanser and moisturizer; group 3, 4% hydroquinone plus
nonprescription cleanser and moisturizer; group 4, nonprescription cleanser and
moisturizer. Study duration was 24 weeks.
In October 2003, we sponsored a 301 patient clinical study to compare the
efficacy, side effects and tolerability of the Nu-Derm system and other commonly
prescribed regimens of tretinoin, hydroquinone and a non-prescription
moisturizer. The Obagi Nu-Derm System showed greater improvement in fine lines
and wrinkles, mottled hyperpigmentation, clarity, laxity, sallowness and tactile
roughness. The Nu-Derm System showed greater results at all times tested: 6, 12,
18 and 24 weeks. At 24 weeks, patients saw 4x improvement versus the other
regimens. Irritation, stinging and redness are common side effects of tretinoin
and hydroquinone. Irritation peaked during the first week and was completely
resolved by the end of the study.
